NES Conference 2026 in Jönköping
The School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) is hosting this year’s NES (Nordic Ergonomics and Human Factors Society) Conference, which will be held at the Quality Hotel Match in Jönköping on October 21–23.
The event is open to the public, with a paid conference fee.
NES is a Nordic scientific collaboration organization that promotes research and exchange in the fields of ergonomics and human factors. The annual NES conference serves as a forum for academia, industry, and government agencies to share knowledge and research on healthy work environments, safety, and sustainable systems. NES was founded in 1969, and this year’s conference will be the 53rd in the series. Participants will come from about ten countries in the Nordic region and Europe, including Germany, France, and Portugal. The target audience consists of researchers and professionals in the fields of occupational health and safety, industry, and government agencies, but everyone is welcome to register for the conference. The organizers expect between 100 and 120 attendees.
Some of the keynote speakers are Måns Svensson, President of JU, and Professor Annika Engström, JTH. There will also be presentations, workshops, and other activities.
Denis Coelho, Associate professor at JTH and chair of NES, is the local organizer for the conference together with Lisa Bäckvall, Assistant Professor at JTH.
