JU in the Pride Parade on 22 August

On Saturday, Jönköping University (JU) will be taking part in the Jönköping Pride Parade during Qom ut for the 13th time! All staff and students are welcome to join the parade if they wish and are able to do so, to highlight that JU is committed to creating an inclusive learning and working environment where all students and staff are treated with respect and inclusivity.

“The Pride movement’s work for openness, diversity and equal rights aligns well with JU’s vision of being an institution that puts people at the centre and promotes tolerance and fundamental democratic values,” says Eleonor Fransson, acting Executive Vice President at Jönköping University.

The event at JU begins with a pre-parade gathering at the Arkaden restaurant at HLK, where JU will be serving snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. After the parade, there will be an after-party at Sofiehof Underground, where both the restaurant and bar will be open for those wishing to refuel at cost price.

Where and when

Date: Saturday 22 August

Pre-parade gathering: From 13:00 at Arkaden restaurant, HLK. Drop-in.

Snacks will be served. Lanyards and badges will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Joint departure for the parade at 14:00.

After-party: From 15.30 at Sofiehof Underground. Drop-in. Food and drink at cost price.
